Description

The book ends with homework: Chapter 15's two capstone documents, written by each reader for the other. This builder walks you through them section by section. Choose your role — I have ADHD (the eight-section Personal Owner's Manual) or I'm the family (the six-section Family Support Plan) — and each section presents a prompt card: its purpose, two or three starter questions, an example line from the book's running characters, and the chapters it draws on. The blank-page barrier gets the Chapter 12 treatment; the words remain entirely yours.

Drafts save automatically to your browser's local storage — nothing leaves your device. Assemble produces the full document with a date stamp, review date line, and — honestly — any sections still empty, marked rather than hidden. Print it, then follow the exchange instructions: a real date, dinner attached, read all of it before responding, and the masking and our-lines sections get read twice.

Lesson Plan

  1. Draft (15+ min, often across days): Each reader completes their document. Out of order is fine; the rail tracks progress.
  2. Assemble and print (2 min): Empty sections stay visible — they're the honest to-do list.
  3. Exchange (the point): A scheduled dinner. Two questions before any edit.
  4. Calendar (1 min): The annual review date goes on the shared calendar before the table is cleared.
