Large-Flowered Bellwort (Uvularia grandiflora) is a graceful spring woodland wildflower with an unmistakable drooping habit. Its stem appears to pierce through the leaves, and from it dangle pale yellow, bell-shaped flowers with twisted petals — as if the whole plant is gently wilting even at its peak. It grows in rich, shaded woods and is one of the spring bloomers you can enjoy in the woodland garden at the Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden.
